Beauty in the Clouds

“Look up at the heavens and see; gaze at the clouds so high above you.” (Job 35:5)

Isn’t God’s creation breathtaking? I took this shot this past summer just when the sun was about to set. Before I focused on the sun, this cloud formation captivated me. One thing I’ve learned is that the sky never looks the same from one day to the next. God always surprises us with his endless, infinite creativity. He paints the sky with a variety of colors and hues, uses broad and fine brush strokes to add interesting elements, such as the puffy white clouds, highlighting them with various shades of light.

  1. Hi Judy,

Thank you for sharing a glimpse of God's artistry. I like your description, "He paints the sky with a variety of colors and hues, uses broad and fine brush strokes to add interesting elements, such as the puffy white clouds, highlighting them with various shades of light."

    Blessings and peace.

  2. beautiful picture of God's creation :)

  3. Hi Judy1
You seem to have the same love for photography that I do. I read your post on picking up the photography habit after 25 years and how you stroll the neighbor and find beauty in God's creation there. That's what i do too. We have struggled with unemployment and career changes, and a year log health issue. Photography and God's beautiful creation was a constant reminder of His faithfullness. I look forward to visiting here again!

  9. Hi Judy. Re. your comment on my blog. Have you heard from Guideposts yet re. their compilation? I just contributed to a devotional for New Moms they are sending out next year and it was really fun. The entire staff there is INCREDIBLE. I just love working with them.

  10. Hi Erin, I haven't heard about the New Moms compilation book, but I did submit an article for their Prayer Partners book about the power of praying together. I'm still waiting to hear if it's been accepted. I'm praying it will be accepted. I met Jeanette Littleton in August at the Greater Philly Christian Writers Conference. She was great! I also heard about a few others that are coming out though. Thanks.

Feeling the pain of loss as a friend of mine just lost her son tragically he is the same age as my second son and we raised our kids together. I will write more tomorrow just spending some time with Pappa bearing my friends burden and so fulfilling the law of Christ.
